Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a Space and Defense Correspondent Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering all aspects of space starting from NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space companies and tourism in space. Kristin's parents are both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also been a White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the Trump and Biden Administrations regarding space-related issues. While there she also covered presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two attempts by the administration to stop the coronavirus pandemic. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the president and vice-president. She was even on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the network. She was awarded the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin used her experience in front of the camera to launch Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films, and became a preferred choice among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
